Until We
Meet Again
Jamie's Tired
- Written by Steve Huff and myself, this song tells the story of a
single Mom with the everyday life of raising her
kids, maintaining a relationship while struggling to climb the
corporate ladder.
Hold
On
- My buddy Tom Quinn wrote this song. It's the story about a
relationship's ups and downs.
I
Wish That It Would Rain
- I literally wrote this song in my sleep. I woke up one morning and
this song was finished. I had to walk around all day
singing it over and over again so I wouldn't forget it before
getting it on tape. Thanks for the help Tye!
The
Cows Are Coming Home
- One of my all time favorite songs by Western New Yorker,
"Wild" Bill McDonald. One of those "anthem" type
songs about being out on the road.
Baton
Rouge
- Written by Steve Holnbeck and myself, this song is what we
referred to as a "steam shipping" song. Have never made
it to Louisiana yet, but hopefully someday that will happen.
California
Promises
- Written by Steve Goodman. This is one of the more romantic songs
that has always had a special place in my repertoire.
Until
We Meet Again
- Written by my hometown friend Greg (the Gritter) Houseknect. This song certainly has
multiple interpretations, but it is a very special song written
about the passing of Bob Cahoon a very special friend of Greg's.
Her
Heart Was Good
-
Written by Steve Huff and myself, looking back on one of those
endearing relationships that somehow ended.
Maniac
Junker -
Written by Steve Huff and myself, this song was fun to put together
and a blast to sing. aka - Tierra Maria.
The
Get Lost River
-
Written by Steve Huff and myself, here is a different take on
"boy meets girl" and a story of their rendezvous.
I
Never Knew
- Written by my good buddy Al Robinson, this song was actually more
of a slow R & B type tune, I took it and as Al puts
it-transformed it into a country tune.
Please
Don't Mention Her Name
- Written by Steve Huff. This is a song about one of Steve's
relationships. Her name was Genie and she was a sweet girl.
Distant
Roads
- Written by Steve Holnbeck and myself, this is our attempt at
writing a truck driving song. It's a fun tune and seems to go over
pretty well.
Allison
- This song was inspired by a cute girl who was working at a local
pub that I would frequent. When I finally got up the nerve to ask
her out, I arrived at the pub only to find out she had just left to
move back to Pittsburgh. Good-bye Allison!
Just
A Closer Walk With Thee
- One of my all time favorite traditional folk songs. I felt this
was the perfect ending to the CD.
